Interested in this thread as I've not seen anything lately that's particularly grabbed me. The one I'm most looking forward to is Masters of the Air, the third and last of the Spielberg/Hanks WW2 trilogy. Apple tv have got it though, the cunts. And unlikely to be released before late 2022 at best apparently.

Squid Game (Netflix) - good but overhyped Maid (Netflix) - excellent Looming Tower (Prime) - excellent Queen's Gambit (Netflix) - excellent. Last year's hit, but I think Maid this year is better
Goes without saying that Better Call Saul is a must, it's better than Breaking Bad even. Final season almost coming out.
The Last Dance is good if you want a sports doc, although it's very pro-MJ bias (to the point it's pissed off his former team mates) and I'm sick of every cunt mentioning it as their source of inspiration these days for any sporting success they've had.

Top three for me in The Sopranos and forward era (which is my arbitrary line between what I think of as old-school vs 'modern' tv) are Deadwood, Band of Brothers and The Sopranos.
Thrones would be on a similar level in my estimation but for the mess that was S8, which ruined the show. Vikings was great entertainment for four series, nowhere near as good but still watchable after. The Americans is a big favourite of mine, watched it twice and will watch it again sometime. I absolutely loved Friday Night Lights, which kind of stands on its own in my favourites list - I don't know anything else like it. Others I've got on my best shows boxset shelf (literally!) are The Wire, Boardwalk Empire and Rome (shamefully only two series but superb).
Currently watching and enjoying Hill St Blues, which is still a great watch if you can get past the fact it's a million miles from the visual quality we're all spoiled by these days. Best cop procedural of the lot for me. Dennis Potter is my favourite tv writer but not much point in me recommending 80s/90s shows as no cunt will watch them.

Still haven't recovered from how disappointing the last few seasons were. House of Dragon soon though, should be canny.

Didn't even know about House of the Dragon till now. Excellent news, and there's also Vikings: Valhalla, hope that's good as well.

Going through Good Girls now(Netflix) Some that I liked that hasn't been mentioned and can still remember that was good
Netflix mostly, forgot what I've watched in Prime&Viaplay and HBOMax just started
Lupin (you need subtitles or dubbed😂) Money Heist(same 😂) Sky Rojo (same) Last Kingdom English Game Sex Education You You Me Her Serpent Sexlife Ragnarök Frontier The 100 (s7 is shite) Hollywood Black Sails Unorthodox Afterlife Kominsky Method Glow ? I think was good Snowpiercer 🤔 Crown Behind her eyes The usuals: House of Cards, Designated Survivor, Sons of Anarchy, Billions, Narcos(es)
Not in any order just from Netflix own list, probably missed many that's been removed Like Timeless, Marco Polo, Suits, HIMYM😂
